Old and rare wine bottles are often irreplaceable.
Vintage wines are much sought-after by collectors and amateurs.
As years go, vintage wines developed themselves toward more balanced in which the terroir and the winemaker skills can be fully expressed.
The most interesting vintages of the nineties for wine collectors are:
Bordeaux: 1990 - An exceptional year.
Italy: 1995, 1997, 1999 - A very good year. Wine with an exellent balance, fairly winey; a wine of great perfume .
Bordeaux: 1995, 1996, 1999 - A very good year. Brilliant, rich colour, orange round the edge. A very delicate bouquet of great finesse. Ripe, melting tannins though still closed up. Wonderful concentration, and a splendid finish.
Italy: 1993, 1994 - A good year. Rich and mellow wine, with an optimal balance.
Bordeaux: 1993, 1994, 1997, 1998 - A good year. Full, not too mellow wine, full-bodied, very brilliant, deep bouquet.
